Autumn and Winter skincare

I love Autumn, the colors on the leaves are beautiful, there is warm sun, soft wind and fresh air.
I'm pretty sure that autumn is the best season to take photos of beautiful scenery.
But with the seasons changing comes the cold weather which can be irritating to your skin.
Colder temperatures, wind and hot showers make skin and hair react differently than they do during summer months. Central heating can also play havoc with the complexion, drying it out and making it look dull.

As the air becomes drier, your skin needs a thicker moisturizer. It is important to use a good moisturizer that can nourish your skin and protect it. Using sunscreen all year round is highly recommended, if you want to keep dry skin at bay.

To effectively remove dead skin cells and leave the skin smooth,  do exfoliate, but be gentle.
Keep your skin moisturized. Especially before you apply foundation. It is important that you apply a good moisturizer and leave it for 10 minutes till it is absorbed completely.

Just like your face, you need to continue to protect your hands from cold and damaging UV rays throughout the autumn and winter. Moisturize them regularly to keep them wrinkle free and don't forget to wear gloves.

Your feet are going to be stuck inside your boots and heals for months to come, take care of them and exfoliate them on a regular basis. A foot bath once a week is a great way to refresh your feet.

1.) Fill a bowl with warm water
2.) Include some herbs, essential oils, sea salt, or olive oil.
3.) Enjoy soaking your feet for 15 to 20 minutes.
4.) At the end, gently scrub the bottom of your feet, this will remove dead skin.
5.) Don't forget to put a cream afterwards. Use a hydrating foot cream to massage the top and bottom
     of your feet.

Hot oil therapy is very useful for dandruff and dry hair. Heat pure coconut oil or olive oil. Apply on the scalp. Dip a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the warm towel around the head like a turban. Keep on for five minutes. Repeat the wrap three times a week.

No time to wash your hair? Don't panic!
Dry shampoo is a lifesaver and your secret weapon for your hair. You can never go wrong with a can of Batiste and the good news is, that it comes in a bunch of scents.

Use a lip balm with an SPF of 15 or more and reapply frequently, especially if you are going to be outdoors for longer periods of time.

Drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day will keep your skin moisturized and help eliminate toxins effectively. Have an extra glass of water for every glass of alcohol/cup of coffee you take to prevent possible dehydration. Try to get as much water as possible from fresh fruits and vegetables.

Hat is a common necessity in autumn and winter. Wear fashion, beautiful hats, keep yourself warm and look trendy at the same time.
