Rescue your sun damaged hair

Hello everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful summer holidays and have come back rested, relaxed and happy.
When I woke up this morning and realized it is already September, I felt a bit sad. Don't get me wrong, I love all the seasons, I just wish summer lasted a little bit longer..

September is here and so it's time to prepare your hair for autumn and winter.
Your hair might look different, not as shiny as it used to be. Sun, humidity, salty sea water and wind dry up hair.
Split ends and a burnt scalp are just some of the after-effects of too much fun in the sun.
How to save your sun damaged hair?

A little reminder:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

1.) Desperate situations sometimes require desperate measures.
If you have to get the ends trimmed do it, if you wait too long, your ends will start to split. Which then means they you will have to cut more than you would like.

2.) Rub a small amount of the shampoo of your choice into the palms of your hands, then massage onto the scalp area of your head. Leave on shampoo on your scalp for at least 5 minutes before washing off. Don't scratch. Massage your scalp thoroughly, while taking care not to scratch it with your nails, rub gently, because fingernails can damage the roots. Rinse your hair in cold water right before you get out of the shower to add shine and close the hair shaft.

3.) Try to reduce blowdrying, straightenning, curling, etc.
Let your hair air dry as often as you can and don't towel dry it. Let your hair dry naturally.

4.) Deep treat with olive (coconut) oil.
Warm up a little olive oil and rub into your scalp. You can leave it on for an hour or overnight.
Wash out with a good quality shampoo.
Deep treat with coconut oil. Same as above.

Increase blood flow to the scalp - massage is an effective way to bring more blood to the area.

5.) Massage 1/2 cup of honey into clean, damp hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. You can also add 1-2 little spoons of olive oil to loosen the honey for easier application.

Take care of yourself and remember, adding more vitamins to your diet can improve your overall health, which may improve the condition of your hair and scalp.
