How to Get Beautiful Hair for Summer

Summer, summer, summer.
We are all waiting for it, but too much sun can leave your hair brittle and faded. Sun, humidity, salty sea water and wind dry up hair.
When temperatures soar, your hair and skin need extra care.
To prevent this from happening, you have to take special care of it.

Get beautiful summer hair with this tips:

1.) Staying hydrated is important for healthy hair and skin. Always make sure to drink enough water, especially in hot places.

2.) Protect your hair from the sun.
Heat and UV rays from the sun can leave your hair dull and brittle. You need to take precautions to protect it. Look for styling products with a built-in sun protection factor (SPF).

3.) Do not expose yourself to direct sunlight during the hottest period of the day – UV rays are then very strong and damage not only hair but also skin. The sun can totally dry your hair out. If you use fashion accessories such as hats, scarves and turbans; you will look good and protect your hair at the same time.

4.) Wash your hair after using a swimming pool, because the chemicals in the pool may harm your hair.

5.) Try not to use your styling products every day, keep at least one day a week to leave your hair au naturale.

6.) Always use a wide-tooth comb to remove tangles. Never use a hair brush on wet hair.

7.) Conditioner is an extremely useful hair care product which helps to keep hair strong, vibrant and healthy. Use a leave-in conditioner or hair serum daily for silky hair.

8.) Daily dose of a multi-vitamin with biotin helps the hair grow healthier.

9.) Before using a curling iron, make sure that your hair is completely dry.

Get beautiful long hair
A diet that is low in protein will cause thinning and weak hair. Eat sources of protein such as: eggs, fish, lean meats, yogurt, nuts, seeds, tofu, beans and more legumes. Get the right nutrients and vitamins. Some key nutrients for hair growth include: iron, silica, calcium, B Complex vitamins, Vitamins A - C - E, Biotin. Some foods that contain these vitamins are: leafy green vegetables, dried fruits, eggs, citrus fruits and yams.

Keep short hair smooth
With short hair you will need to wash your hair at least 3 times a week but no more than 5 times a week (it will become over dry). Use a styling product but not too much.
Shampoo it less often to help maintain that soft, smooth texture.

Stop dandruff
Avoid oily and junk food since they are among the main reasons for dandruff. Eat fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, as well as nuts, seeds or leafy greens rich in vitamin E, every day.

Add proteins, whole grains, legumes and other vegetables rich in B vitamins and zinc as well.
Get plenty of B vitamin by eating things such as eggs, cabbage, and yeast. These also help provide sulfur, which is vital to your scalp.

Leave on the anti-dandruff shampoo on your scalp for atleast 5 minutes before washing off. Don't scratch. Massage your scalp thoroughly, while taking care not to scratch it with your nails, rub gently, because fingernails can damage the roots.

And of course be experimental,  keep your hair up, wear flowers, ribbons and bows during the summer.
