Glowing skin for Christmas

Christmas is on its way and it's time to prepare your skin to look its very best. Now is the perfect time to soothe stressed skin and get your complexion glowing for Christmas time. One of the best-kept anti-ageing secrets is a good night sleep. 
If you can't afford it, don't worry, there's always another solution.
Get inspired with some extra tips:

Get a beautiful long hair

A diet that is low in protein will cause thinning and weak hair. Eat sources of protein such as: eggs, fish, lean meats, yogurt, nuts, seeds, tofu, beans  and more legumes. Get the right nutrients and vitamins. Some key nutrients for hair growth include: iron, silica, calcium, B Complex vitamins, Vitamins A - C - E, Biotin. Some foods that contain these vitamins are: leafy green vegetables, dried fruits, eggs, citrus fruits and yams.  

Youthful skin
Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water every day. Water helps flush out toxins and waste products from the body, also moisturizes your skin from the inside, making it more youthful looking.  
Sleep on silk pillowcases to pre­vent hair damage/breakage and keep your skin look­ing youth­ful.
Your hair and skin will thank you.

Reduce eye wrinkles
Applying mashed avocado decreases the appearances of fine lines around the eyes and under eye wrinkles. The natural oils in the avocado will moisturize and nourish your skin, and your skin will look beautiful and more attractive.
Avocados are an excellent and effective remedy for reducing eye wrinkles.

Make your hands look younger
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize, day and night. Get into the habit of moisturizing your hands every day and whenever you can. Hand creams will keep your hands super soft and prevent skin damage. Wear gloves to protect your hands from cold weather. 

Sexy elbows
Do you have beautiful arms, but dark spots on your elbows?
Cut a large lemon in half. Rub each lemon half on your elbows and cover it with plastic wrap.
Keep cleansed area away from the sunlight by staying indoors.
You can rub away the pulp, but do not wash your elbows for about 2 hours.
Moisturize the area with rich moisturiser.
Repeat this everyday until the dark spots are eliminated.
If you don't have lemon in your kitchen, then look for yogurt or milk.  

Both ingredients work well as natural skin lightener and they also add moisture to your dry, rough skin.

Beautiful, flat stomach
Don't starve yourself because it makes your metabolism lazy and unwilling to burn calories. Include good quality protein (fish, nuts, eggs), good fats (olive oil, salmon or tuna, nuts), whole grains and natural sugars that you will find in fresh fruit. Drink plenty of water. Drinking water will not only help prevent bloating, but it will also help keep you feeling full for longer.
Do some hula hoops. This is one of the oldest ways to flatten and tighten up the belly area.

Eliminate stretch marks
Vitamin E is a good treatment option to reduce or eliminate stretch marks and scars. Using vitamin E oil or vitamin E creams may help improve their appearance. Exfoliation is another way out to reduce the scarring. Massage your skin with loofah while you are taking shower. Exfoliating removes dead cells from the uppermost layer of skin to reveal the fresher, younger skin underneath.

Get rid of smelly feet
Wear shoes made from natural materials like: canvas, leather, etc. instead of artificial materials. Baby powder or baking powder will help to dry up the shoe and absorb the odor. Make sure you are getting plenty of zinc. One of the syptoms of a zinc deficiency is foot odor.

Slow down aging
Drink Green tea, it is an excellent source of antioxidants and as we know antioxidants can slow down aging. green tea can also help in weight loss, but drinking one cup isn't going to help. The best way to lose weight is drinking about 3-4 cups daily.

Don't stress
Avoid and prevent your body from even the slightest of stress as this affects your skin. This makes the signs of aging visible in your skin. Find ways to deal with your stress and worries. Take up yoga or Pilates to help keep you de-stressed. Worrying about life, work, family and all that adds years to your face.

Choose to be positive
Try to control your mind, learn how to calm yourself anytime you are stressed or anxious with positive afffirmations. Getting in control of the mind is a process that begins with awareness. Start with basic - choose your thoughts you want to think and hold your focus there. It's not easy, but you can do it!

And of course, remember to believe in love, believe in yourself and believe in your dreams. If you don't....who will?
