Autumn's Spirit

The Autumn brings out a colorful change in scenery and a whole new range of perfect clothes.
When you take a look outside you notice it immediately that the days are shortening, temperatures are lower, wind stronger and it is raining more often. 
Even though it is getting colder outside, there is still a positive side to it. Yes, there are several good things that come with Autumn ... the leaves are beautiful, the food is festive (ex. pumpkin spicy late) and things are much more relaxed.

When there are sunny days, it is the best time to go outside and spend the day in nature. I love the crunchy sound the leaves make when you walk through them. I found it very relaxing.

Chocolate is good for the soul

In the last few days it started to be much colder. You can feel the winter in the air. 
On days like this I prefere to stay at home, watching a nice movie, being wrapped up in blanket. My favorite thing is to light up my scented candle and relax while I'm drinking my big cup of hot cocoa. 
There's something about drinking hot chocolate while its cold outside, makes you all warm and feeling good.


Hot chocolate benefits:
1.) Chocolate is good for the soul.
2.) More antioxidants are released when it's heated up.
3.) Antioxidants help prevent cancer, heart disease and aging.
4.) Drinking hot chocolate can help you think better, because the flavonoids increase the blood flow and oxygen to the brain.
5.) It is a great relaxant that helps you to fall asleep.
6.) Hot chocolate can help older people keep their brains healthy, research has shown.
7.) Hot cocoa (minus the whipped cream) is a good way to fight cancer. 

Being healthy has never been this easy or this delicious. 


Remember:
Because of high levels of calories, saturated fat, sugar content ... dental problems and obesity are health risks. However, when eaten in moderate quantities, chocolate truly can be a miracle food.

Out in the middle of the night

Last Saturday was a Nuit Blanche (White Night) in Paris.
White Night, is an annual all-night arts festival.
White Night will typically have museums, private and public art galleries, libraries and other cultural institutions open and free of charge. There are also themed social gatherings, famous DJs, etc.
The fun starts as soon as the sun set and nearly all lines of the metro are open all night long.




I loved every minute of it. It was a warm night, people were sitting outside, drinking wine, or walking around the city looking at the light installations, while others were listening concerts or the best DJs in the world gathered in street shows (by the banks of the Seine river) and dancing.




I have to say, it is amazing to be out in the middle of the night with people just walking around, talking and having fun. I'm so impressed by this city, Paris is elegant, chic, enchanting and truly romantic.

Confidence Comes From Within

Shyness is a fear just like any other, you have to face it to overcome it. It is a belief.
There are days when I feel very confident, and days when I feel less, or lets be honest (not at all).
I used to be extremely shy person. Whenever I met new people I couldn't talk. Thought of making a good impression put me in a scary situation.
Have you ever been shy?
Then you know it is very uncomfortable feeling.
Shyness makes it difficult to talk to a new people, make new friends, or enjoy great experiences life brings.

The good news is, you have the power to easily become who you want to be. It’s not going to happen overnight, overcoming shyness will take time and effort. 
For now, stop worrying about what other people think of you, or how they label you. 
Start by smiling more often.
Be positive, tell yourself something nice. Just try and take a little steps. Become more braver and once again ... ''Try to stop thinking what others think''.
No one is perfect, because we all have our strengths and our weaknesses. One day you will look back at this time in your life and realize that your weakness became one of your strengths.
Stay strong, you are amazing!

Prepare your skin for Autumn and Winter


 

Achieving a smooth, luminous complexion during the winter can be difficult.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I like Autumn, however, the season also comes along with cold weather, wind and conditions that will leave your skin dry.
Are you ready for Autumn?
Here are a few simple skin rejuvenation tips, your little reminder: 





Youthful skin
Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water every day. Water helps flush out toxins and waste products from the body, also moisturizes your skin from the inside, making it more youthful looking.     
Sleep on silk pillowcases to pre­vent hair damage/breakage and keep your skin look­ing youth­ful. Your hair and skin will thank you.  
Keeping the skin hydrated is very important so applying a moisturizer is a must. 


Slow down aging
Drink Green tea, it is an excellent source of antioxidants and as we know antioxidants can slow down aging. green tea can also help in weight loss, but drinking one cup isn't going to help. The best way to lose weight is drinking about 3-4 cups daily.
 

Reduce eye wrinkles
Applying mashed avocado decreases the appearances of fine lines around the eyes and under eye wrinkles. The natural oils in the avocado will moisturize and nourish your skin, and your skin will look beautiful and more attractive.
Avocados are an excellent and effective remedy for reducing eye wrinkles. 



Speed up your metabolism
If you overeat or feel you cannot digest your food properly, try drinking honey with warm water. Honey improves digestion. You can also mix a spoonful of honey and lemon juice from half a lemon into a cup of warm water and drink it. 
In the morning also include a good amount of yogurt in your breakfast, it is a best thing to make your digestion system strong and it help to digest a heavy meal easily. Check for live and active cultures on the label.   


Deep treat with olive (coconut) oil for your hair
Warm up a little olive oil and rub into your scalp. You can leave it on for an hour or overnight.
Wash out with a good quality shampoo.
Deep treat with coconut oil. Same as above.
 

Increase blood flow to the scalp - massage is an effective way to bring more blood to the area.


Maintain a healthy weight, so that the veins in your legs aren't under too much pressure. 
Drink a lots of water (it really helps). 
Also, limit your salt. Eating less salt can help with the swelling that comes with varicose veins. Eat a diet rich in fibre, include fruits, berries, fresh vegetables and whole grains. 
Remember that too much salt in your diet is one of the major causes of spider veins.


Use Bio-Oil
It is a specialist skincare oil for the face and body, specifically formulated to help reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, aging skin and uneven skin tone.
It should be massaged in a circular motion into the scar and surrounding skin, twice daily, for a minimum of 3 months.     


Choose to be positive 
Try to control your mind, learn how to calm yourself anytime you are stressed or anxious with positive afffirmations. Getting in control of the mind is a process that begins with awareness. Start with basic - choose your thoughts you want to think and hold your focus there. It's not easy, but you can do it!
