Speed up your metabolism

It is important to be sure that you are actually hungry when you eat. If you eat out of boredom or when you are not truly hungry, your brain will not signal your body for proper digestion. - See more at: http://yvafrica.com/Zimbabwe/ways-to-make-food-digest-faster/#sthash.Ips92wnU.dpuf

We all love beautiful, sunny days, but in summer the hot weather can slow digestion and slow digestive systems can leave you feeling bloated and possibly tired.
Also, did you know?
The more stressed, tired or anxious you are, the more foods will aggravate your digestive balance. When you are relaxed and calm your stomach digests much faster.
I love to eat, I love to eat a lot, but I learned that eating frequently and eating right does have a positive effect on your metabolism.

Here are some tips to help you speed up your metabolism:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The best way to digest your food properly is to properly chewing your food. Eat your food slowly and in small pieces.

Drink lots of water! The more water you drink, the faster your metabolism will work.

Green tea is one of the best antioxidants for your body and is extremely good for the digestive system. Green tea also help in weight loss, but drinking one cup isn't going to help. The best way to lose weight is drinking about 3-4 cups daily.

If you overeat or feel you cannot digest your food properly, try drinking honey with warm water. Honey improves digestion. You can also mix a spoonful of honey and lemon juice from half a lemon into a cup of warm water and drink it.

There are some fruits which make the digestion very fast like grapefruit and water melon.
Yes, eating watermelon can speed up the metabolism.
The best time to eat a fruit (any fruit) is either first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or as a mid-morning snack, between breakfast and lunch. It is advisable to eat fruits at least 30 minutes before any heavy meal.

In the morning also include a good amount of yogurt in your breakfast, it is a best thing to make your digestion system strong and it help to digest a heavy meal easily. Check for live and active cultures on the label.

Ginger has been used for thousands of years as a safe way to relieve nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, morning sickness and loss of appetite. Ginger increases metabolism and stimulates circulation.
But it's best to consume it in moderation. High doses of ginger can cause heartburn.

If you're going to eat meat, go for chicken, fish, and other lean meat.

Red wine has long been considered the healthiest wine, due in part to its powerful antioxidant content. Red wine before and after your meal can help your stomach process the food well, of course in a small amount.
If you like to eat red meat, you will find that drinking red wine with it helps you digest the meat better.
Consumed in moderation, wine can help you live a healthier life. (That's a good news, isn't it?)

Daily physical activities like yoga, walking, jogging, cycling, etc. also helps you in improving your metabolism and improve your digestion. Regular exercise helps with digestion as it improves your blood circulation and the oxygen flow throughout your body. And we all know that exercise will help keep your weight under control.

Wishing you all a lovely week!

Coral Pink Handbag from Mango

Last week I received this lovely gift from Mango ... ''Coral Pink handbag''.
Patent tote bag with two top handles, internal zip pocket, top zip fastening and engraved Mango logo.

It is very unusual for me to have a pink bag, but I like it a lot. Especially because it is a sure eye catcher. Wearing it will add an interesting splash of color to any outfit, black, grey, white or navy.
The color pink will also look great if you use it together with other shades of pink. Use pink to bring playfulness (hot pink) and tenderness (pastel pinks).
Pink is a color with multiple meanings. The color pink to me has a deeply joyful vibe to it.
It is a youthful, fun ... and summer is all about fun.
And on top of all that, pink is romantic and charming.

Pink isn't just a color... it's an attitude!

The first month I enjoyed my hair short, but after I decided to grow my hair long again.
Long, healthy hair is a sign of beauty, vitality and youth.
When it comes to healthy hair, it's all about diet. What goes into your body will have effect on your hair growth and strength.

Lets start with basics:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

You should drink plenty of water to help condition your hair. Water keeps your skin and hair hydrated.

Try to use coconut oil. Coconut oil is not only good for adding nutrients to the hair, but it is also good for weight loss.

Exercise, increased blood flow on the scalp will help improve the health of your hair. It is a key factor in stopping hair loss.

Some key nutrients for hair growth include: iron, silica, calcium, B Complex vitamins, Vitamins A - C - E, Biotin. Daily dose of a multi-vitamin with biotin helps the hair grow healthier. Some foods that contain these vitamins are: leafy green vegetables, dried fruits, eggs, citrus fruits and yams.

A diet that is low in protein will cause thinning and weak hair. From now on eat a lot of protein, it makes hair stronger and healthy.

Healthy protein sources include lean meat, fish, eggs, yogurt, nuts, beans and soy products.

Do you like sushi?
If you do, you will be happy to know that your hair likes it too. Sushi is extremly high in protein, so it helps hair to grow.

Massage your scalp to stimulate circulation to the follicles which can promote hair growth. When you massage your scalp, use a good oil. This can help prevent a dry scalp and also keep your hair better conditioned.

Green tea, many people recommend drinking several cups of green tea a day to promote hair growth. Drinking cranberry juice also helps. Green tea will boost your body's immune system, keep your hair shiny and clear skin as they contain antioxidants.

Phyto hair vitamins. I have to say I'm very pleased with these vitamins. My nails and hair grows stronger and faster. It is a little pricey, but having healthy hair and nails is worth the price.

Follow each of these steps carefully, and you will begin to notice, stronger, smoother, long and healthy hair in no time!

I decided to share with you pictures of me, my hair and hairstyle changes from a few years back until now:

Keep your skin healthy and glowing all summer long

Summer is here.
It's time to show off your beautiful skin by wearing sun dresses, skirts, etc. Summer means sun, shorts, sandals, bathing suits and bronzed skin.
But remember to keep your skin safe. It's really important to protect your skin from the sun.
Sun damage can lead to premature aging of the skin, wrinkles, marks, dry skin, and even skin cancer over time.
Here are some easy ways to keep your skin healthy and radiant all summer long!

1.) Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is important for healthy hair and skin. Always make sure to drink enough water, especially in hot places.

2.) Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables salads to ensure that you're getting all the antioxidants and nutrients your skin needs.
There are some fruits which make the digestion very fast like grapefruit and water melon. So you can speed up your metabolism. The best time to eat a fruit (any fruit) is either first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or as a mid-morning snack, between breakfast and lunch. It is advisable to eat fruits at least 30 minutes before any heavy meal.

3.) Protect your hair from the sun.
Heat and UV rays from the sun can leave your hair dull and brittle. You need to take precautions to protect it. Look for styling products with a built-in sun protection factor (SPF).

4.) Always use sunscreen to prevent age spots and wrinkles. Put at least SPF 30 on your hands and body before you go out in the sun, especially when driving your car. Don’t forget to reapply when needed.

5.) Stay out of the sun between the hours of 11am and 3pm. The hottest part of the day during the summer is the most damaging time. Do not expose yourself to direct sunlight during the hottest period of the day, remember that UV rays are strong and damage not only hair but also skin.
If you use fashion accessories such as hats, scarves, they will keep you cool from the sun, you will look good and protect your hair at the same time.

6.) Wear sunglasses. Overexposure to the sun damages your skin and speeds up aging like nothing else. Wearing sunglasses prevents you from squinting, which we all know can contribute to wrinkles around the eyes.

7.) Wash your hair after using a swimming pool, the chemicals in the pool may harm your hair.

8.) In a hot climate, it is best to go out with a minimal makeup. Wearing minimal makeup is great for summertime because it means that you don't have to worry about your makeup melting off your skin. When the weather gets hot, makeup can begin to run, smudge and practically melt off your face. While on vacation, leave your makeup off as often as possible. This is a great opportunity to let your skin breathe.

9.) Avoid spraying perfume on your skin in the sun. The psoralens in perfume can permanently stain your skin when they react with the sun. Also the alcohol contains in the perfume attracts the sun. During the summertime, avoid spraying your perfume on your neck.

10)Get wavy/curly hair by washing your hair at night then putting it up into a tight bun. When you wake up in the morning, if it is not dry, blow dry your hair (still up in a bun). Then take out the bun and you should have wavy hair.

Extra tip:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
It's summer time and we all know that this is the time to kick off your shoes and show off those sandals-ready feet and perfectly painted toe nails.
Are you ready?
No?
Smooth cracked heels using papaya.
Papaya contains enzymes that digest proteins, making it helpful in treating cracked heels, soles and removing rough skin from feet.
Mash up chunks of papaya into a mask and spread it onto cracked heels for 15 minutes.
Then rinse with lukewarm water. Apply twice a week.

Have a nice summer everyone!

Paris, Montmartre

Summer is a great time to visit Paris.
One of the must see places is Montmartre. Montmartre is one of my favorite places.
It is a hill in the north of Paris, France.
Montmartre is mostly known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacre Coeur. It is an incredibly beautiful church and the view of Paris from this place is just breathtaking.

Montmartre is amazing.
There are little streets with patisseries, cafes and bars. You can walk around the market full of artists drawing or become a masterpiece yourself by posing for the many casual painters and sketchers on hand. After you can have a romantic lunch or dinner.
The atmosphere of this place is excellent.

If you are planning to come to Paris this summer, I really recommend visiting this place.
Please take a look at my pictures, hope you like it.
Wishing you all a great Sunday!
